Australia wholesale inflation less than expected

Australia's producer price index fell 0.3% in the first quarter of 2012, the Australian Bureau of Statistics reported Monday
On an annual basis, PPI rose 1.4%
Economists had been expecting a 0.4% rise in first-quarter PPI and a 2.2% annual rise, according to estimates compiled by Dow Jones Newswires
