GE sees Brazil sales soaring 30% for 2012

RIO DE JANEIRO -(MarketWatch)
General Electric Co. expects to confirm within two months that it will set up a factory at Brazilian EBX Group's Acu port in Rio de Janeiro state, GE Latin America's chief executive Reinaldo Garcia said Thursday
"The factory is almost confirmed," Garcia told Dow Jones Newswires on the sidelines of an event to mark GE's setting up of a technology center in Rio de Janeiro
The Acu factory will produce equipment for the oil, gas and energy industries, Garcia said, without stipulating the investment required
GE said its Brazil revenues are expected to grow 30% this year from 2011's $3.7 billion
