U.S. stocks gain Stocks, gold, dollar gain on ECB, Fed hop


Fresh hopes of stimulus from both the Federal Reserve and European Central Bank buoyed U.S. stocks, the dollar and gold on Friday – which is an unusual combination
Treasury prices were little changed on the day after a big weekly rally
The S&P 500 Index /quotes/zigman/3870025added 9 points, or 0.6%, to 1,411
Earlier this week, it touched its highest level in about four years
Still, for the week, the S&P 500 Index is off 0.5% — its first weekly decline in seven weeks
