NEW YORK (MarketWatch)
U.S. stocks on Friday notched a third month of gains that have largely priced in another round of easing by the Federal Reserve and policy action in Europe to address its debt crisis

The S&P 500 index climbed 7.10 points, or 0.5%, to 1,406.58, rising 2% for the month and down 0.3% for the week
The Nasdaq Composite advanced 18.25 points, or 0.6%, to 3,066.96, up 4.3% for the month and off 0.1% for the week
